I have been educating art students since 2011. Currently, I teach studio art and art history courses in the Upper School at Fort Worth Country Day in Fort Worth, Texas.
My first teaching experience was at the University of Georgia, where I instructed three college-level art courses while working on my M.F.A. in Sculpture. After earning my degree, I served as a substitute art teacher at two private schools in Georgia: the Walker School in Marietta, and the Westminster Schools in Atlanta. From these experiences, I discovered how much I love teaching and decided to pursue it as a career.
In addition to being an educator, I am an artist. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of drawing. In high school, I became passionate about sculpture. I have also created artworks in other disciplines. To learn more about my art, please visit my art website.
On this website, you will find examples of my students' art, educational videos I have created, articles, and more. I hope you get a sense that I approach teaching as an art form in itself.
